Duty Manager Job Desc

Position:                    Duty Manager
Level:                        3a
Reports to:                Resident Manager, Front Office Manager
Responsible for:        All Operation when needed.
Unit:                          Single Unit

Main Role & Objectives:
Ø  Responsible for welcoming and processing of all late arrivals guests to the hotel, which may involve some departures or reservations.
Ø  Also responsible for the comfort of all our guests especially throughout the night and provides continuity of service for Front Office over a period of 24 hours.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
Ø  Develop and recommend manpower planning of the department.
Ø  Supervise Discipline, conduct and appearance of the hotel staff.
Ø  Censure the observance of hygiene and safety precautions to maintain high standard in the hotel.
Ø  Responsible for the smooth operations of various sections in the front office and hotel in general.
Ø  Responsible for reservation planning and for all operations concerning allocation of rooms and insuring good relations between guests and the hotel.
Ø  Ensure close co-operation with other departments.
Ø  Review security in the hotel from time to time.
Ø  Maintain discipline among staff, appearance of staff in regards to proper upkeep of uniforms and maintain orderliness of the lobby.
Ø  Ensure timely submission of all relevant reports and information to the front office of house manager.
Ø  Liase with the front of house manager for all work details.
Ø  Handle inquiries concerning room reservations, complaints etc.
